Sunday, July 24th: Kankakee 10U Pony Regional Tournament Championship
Channahon 14, St Joes 4
Well after 5 hours of waiting around for the rain to stop we got it in. Channahon jumped out to an early lead scoring 7 in the first and never looked back. Leading the way at the plate with multiple hits Nick Lappin, Nate Allen, Dylan Peterson, Austin Markee and Brian Krippel who hit a bases loaded double to win the game. Adding hits were Shane O'Brien & Fernando Rizo. Great job pitching by Julian Fernandez & Fernando Rizo. Region Champs and up next Zone at St Joes starts Wednesday at noon.
Saturday, July 23rd: Kankakee 10U Pony Regional Tournament Semi-Finals
Channahon 9, Hersher 5
Channahon fell behind early 4-0 after the top of the first. Channahon answered with 2 of their own in the bottom half. Hersher scored one more in the fourth right before the bats came alive for Channahon. We set 11 batters to the plate scoring 7 to make it 9-5. This would be the final score after a potential triple play in the fifth. Great job by the team to hang in and battle back. Next up Championship game on Sunday.

Wednesday, July 20th: Kankakee 10U Pony Regional Tournament
Channahon 7, Kankakee 5
Back to back 100 degree days the team did what they could and pulled this one off. Going ahead early Channahon never trailed and hung on for the victory. Leading the way at the plate Kole Vaught went 3-3 adding hits were Austin Markee, Dylan Peterson, Matt Holmes & Julian Fernandez. On the mound pitching a great game Nate Allen, Dylan Peterson & Fernando Rizo. Rizo closed the game with one pitch picking off the runner on third to end the game. Special thanks to my catchers who caught 3 each in this heat Matt Holmes & Brian Krippel. Congrats and next is Saturday at 11:00.
Tuesday, July 19th: Kankakee 10U Pony Regional Tournament
Channahon 21, St Joes 8
The weather was hot and so were the Channahon bats. Leading the way at the plate Sean Walsh 3-3, Matt Holmes 3-4 adding two hits each Austin Markee, Brooke Brodzinski & Kole Vaught. On the mound Julian Fernandez, Brian Krippel, Brooke Brodzinski, Nate Allen & Austin Markee.
Saturday, July 16th: Whiteford 10U Pony Sectional Tournament
Channahon 10, Coal City 2
On a hot late Saturday night Channahon brought home a section championship. The bats came out hot scoring 8 of the 10 runs in the first 3 innings. Leading the way at the plate Sean Walsh 2-3 (Another over the fence homerun), Brian Krippel 2-3 with a over the fence homerun, Austin Markee 2-3 & Matt Holmes 1-2 with a ground rule double. On the mound holding Coal City to 2 runs Nate Allen, Fernando Rizo & Dylan Peterson. Congrats you all deserve this and we now move on to Region in Kankakee.
Friday, July 15th: Whiteford 10U Pony Sectional Tournament
Channahon 11, Wilmington 7
Going into the bottom of the 4th Channahon trailed 3-2 but Channahon poured it on sending 10 batters to the plate scoring 7. Leading the way at the plate Kole Vaught 3-4, Austin Markee 2-4 and Dylan Peterson 2-3. Adding a TOWERING over the fence homerun was Sean Walsh. Pitching a great game were Nate Allen & Dylan Peterson. Big defensive plays by Matt Holmes & Brian Krippel throwing out a runner each stealing late in the game. Next up the Championship game.
Monday, July 11th: Whiteford 10U Pony Sectional Tournament
Channahon 16, Coal City 5
Game 1 of the section tournament goes to Channahon 10U. Leading the way at the plate were Fernando Rizo 4-4, Kole Vaught 2-4, Brian Krippel 2-3. Adding a big hit was Shane O'Brien with a homerun over the fence. Pitching a great game Julian Fernandez, Fernando Rizo & Dylan Peterson. Great game next up Friday against Wilmington.
