In the opening game of pool play at the Bronco 11 World Series in Richmond, VA, Channahon 11U lost a tough one in extra innings. Channahon jumped to an early 3-0 lead behind 3 hits and a 2-run HR blast to right-center field by Danny Beaudin. Texas came right back to take advantage of 3 walks and one timely hit in the first inning to tie the score 3-3. Texas got another run in the 2nd inning behind a double by Quittalla and RBI ground out by Trotter. Channahon tied the game at 4-4 in the 3rd inning after a Matt Brozovich single and Jake Bugajski RBI. The game remained tied until the bottom of 6th when Texas scratched a run across to take a 5-4 lead behind a lead-off double and two consecutive Channahon fielding errors. Channahon would not go quietly and rallied for two runs to take back the lead at 6-5 behind Jonny Butler's single and a game-tying double by Derek Malone to score Butler. Jackson Shepherd then singled to left to score Malone.

Saturday, July 24th: North Zone Bronco 11 - St. Joe's Park - Semi-Finals
Channahon 10, Crest Hill 1
Channahon advances to the North Zone Championship Game and will play the winner of Evansville, IN vs St Clair Shores, Michigan. For the game, Jackson Shepherd went the distance pitching 7 innings allowing 2 hits, 1 run, 7Ks, 1BB to propel Channahon to the championship game. Channahon rallied for 3 runs in the top of the third inning when Jake Bugajski reached on an error, stole second base and scored on a Jonny Butler single. Derek Malone's sacrifice fly scored Hunter Nelson and moved Butler into scoring position and Jackson Shepherd ripped a single to center field to score Butler. Channahon scored 2 more runs in the 4th inning behind base hits by Nick Airola, Drew Turek and Hunter Nelson. In the 5th inning, Jackson Shepherd stroked a triple to right field and scored on Matt Brozovich's hard liner to the left field wall. Matchup of 2 previously unbeatens in the Blue Pool for Bronco 11 North Zone Tournament at St. Joe's Park. Channahon advances to the North Zone Semi-finals tomorrow at 2:30pm. Evansville jumped to an early 2-0 lead behind a Hensley double, 2 walks and a fielding error by Channahon. Wittmer kept Channahon hitters off-balance with a mix of off-speed and knuckleballs for 3 innings. Evansville held the lead 2-1 after 3 innings. Jake Bugajski sparked Channahon by reaching base safely 4 times, scored 4 runs, added 2 hits and RBI. In the bottom of 4th inning, Channahon broke loose scoring 3 runs to take the lead 4-2 behind a Bujaski walk and consecutive hits by Butler (double), Danny Beaudin (single) and Jackson Shepherd (single). Channahon 12, Coal City 0
Channahon prevailed behind excellent pitching of Jackson Shepherd (3IP;0ER;2H;4Ks;0BB) and Danny Beaudin (2IP;0ER;1H;2BB) and timely hitting. The game was well played by both teams in the early innings. Channahon jumped out to 2-0 led behind a Jake Bugajski single, stolen base and wild pitch. Hunter Nelson singled sharply to center-field and Jonny Butler scored Nelson with an RBI single to left. Channahon plated 3 more runs in the bottom of the third inning and put the game out of reach in the bottom of 4th by scoring 7 runs behind 5 hits, 2 walks and a couple of Coal City fielding misplays. For the game, Johnny Carnagio went 2-2 (2 singles;2RBIs), Jonny Butler was 2-3 (3RBIs), Danny Beaudin smacked a 2RBI single. Jackson Shepherd, Matt Brozovich, Nick Airola, Jake Bugajski and Hunter Nelson contributed key hits. For Coal City, Jones, Schwantes and Chapman had hits. On the mound for Coal City was Brnca.

Oswego Panthers 1
Channahon erupted in the 2nd inning for 6 runs behind 7 hits, Johnny Carnagio started the inning with a sharp single to left-center and Matt Brozovich doubled him home. Nick Airola followed with a double to score Brozovich. Jake Bugajski bunted for a base hit to move Airola to third and Drew Turek promptly ripped a single up the middle to score Airola. After a flyout by Hunter Nelson, Derek Malone ripped a single to right-center field and Jackson Shepherd stroked a single up the middle to score Malone. Channahon scored another run in the 3rd behind a Bugajski base hit and Drew Turek's run scoring single. Jonny Butler led off the 4th with a single, stole 2 bases and scored on a wild pitch. Derek Malone also scored on a wild pitch to make the score 9-0 after 4 innings. Channahon scored to more runs in the top of the 5th behind a Shepherd sacrifice fly and 4 consecutive walks. Sunday, July 17th: Bronco 11U Region @ Kankakee

Channahon 11U All-Stars claimed the Kankakee Bronco 11U Region Championship on Saturday night behind the stellar pitching of Johnny Carnagio (3IP;7Ks;1BB) and Danny Beaudin (2IP;3Ks;2BB), the pair combined to throw a no-hitter. Channahon cranked up the offense again in the bottom of the first inning when Derek Malone launched a solo HR into left field bleachers. Jackson Shepherd followed with a sharp single up the middle and Johnny Carnagio smacked a double off the wall to score Shepherd. Matt Brozovich stepped to the plate and belted a 2-run HR to deep center field for an early 4-0 lead. Channahon added 6 more runs in the 2nd inning, Hunter Nelson reached on a base hit, stole second and scored on Jonny Butler's RBI single. Malone and Shepherd drew walks and Malone scored on Johnny Carnagio's RBI single. Matt Brozovich then smacked a 2-RBI single to score Shepherd and Carnagio. Channahon added 3 more runs in the 3rd and one run in the 4th to make the score.

Saturday, July 16th: Bronco 11U Region @ Kankakee

Bronco 11U Kankakee Region Semi-final game. Channahon banged out 18 hits in the 5 inning game. At the plate, Jonny Butler went 3-5 (4RBIs) and Matt Brozovich went 3-5 (solo HR, 2 singles; 4 RBIs). Derek Malone (RBI), Jackson Shepherd (2RBIs), Jake Bugajski and Drew Turek (2RBIs) contributed multiple run-producing hits. Johnny Carnagio, Danny Beaudin, Hunter Nelson and Nick Airola had key base hits. On the mound, Derek Malone (2IP); Jonny Butler (2IP) and Johnny Carnagio (1IP) combined on a no-hitter for the win.

Tuesday, July 13th: Bronco 11U Region @ Kankakee

Minooka 11U All-Stars 1
Channahon prevailed behind solid defense, excellent pitching and a strong offensive output by banging out 15 hits in the opening round of Sanction Tournament play. At the plate, Brandon Brodzinski, Jackson Shepherd and Jonny Butler had 2 hits; 2RBIs each. Johnny Carnagio, Matt Brozovich had 2 hits with an RBI each. Drew Turek added a 2RBI single while Derek Malone and Hunter Nelson smacked an RBI singles in the 2nd inning. Jake Bugajski and Danny Beaudin added base hits and scored runs. On the mound, Jackson Shepherd (4IP;2H;4Ks;0BB;1ER) and Derek Malone (1IP;1H;2Ks;1BB) combined for the win. For Minooka, Steve Schminanski, Jacob Mason and Owen Hutto had hits. Pitching for Minooka was Hutto (2IP) and Grant Olsen (2IP).

Monday, July 12th: Frankfort Summer Sizzle 12U Tournament Semi-Finals
Channahon 11U All-Stars 14, Minooka 12U All-Stars 12
Minooka jumped to an early 4 run lead in top of the first inning behind timely hitting and Channahon misplays. Channahon responded in their half of the 1st inning by scoring 7 runs behind 8 hits. Channahon put 5 more runs on the board in the bottom of 2nd inning to make the score 12-4 after 2 innings. Minooka did not go quietly and chipped away in the middle innings to make it a competitive game until the end. For Channahon, Nick Airola led a 16 hit attack going 3-3 (3 singles; 2RBIs). Jackson Shepherd, Matt Brozovich, Jonny Butler and John Wheaton had multiple run producing hits. Jake Bugajski blasted a ground-rule double to drive in 2 runs. Danny Beaudin smacked a ground-rule double and scored a run. Drew Turek, Johnny Carnagio and Derek Malone had key hits. On the mound, Danny Beaudin (4IP); John Wheaton (2IP); Butler (1IP) combined for the win. For Minooka, Big Ben Jaworski blasted a 3-run homer to ignite the Minooka rally in the middle inning.

Sunday, July 11th: Frankfort Summer Sizzle 12U Tournament
Channahon 11U All-Stars 7, Manhatten 12U 4
After falling behind 3-1 and the game being suspended due to lightening, Channahon responded with 3 run rally when play resumed the following day. Jackson Shepherd hit a ground-rule double to drive in 3 runs for a 4-3 lead that Channahon never relinquished. Derek Malone, Johnny Carnagio, Nick Airola, Jake Bugajski, Drew Turek and Hunter Nelson added key hits. On the mound for Channahon, Jackson Shepherd (2IP); Jonny Butler (1IP); Derek Malone (3IP) and Johnny Carnagio (2IP).

Thursday, July 8th: Frankfort Summer Sizzle 12U Tournament
Channahon 11U All-Stars 9, Palos 12U 5
Channahon banged out 15 hits in the victory. At the plate, Jonny Butler, Derek Malone (2 ground rule doubles), Johnny Carnagio, Jake Bugajski, Danny Beaudin and Hunter Nelson banged out 2 hits. Drew Turek, John Wheaton, Brandon Brodzinski added hits. On the mound, Jackson Shepherd (3IP), Butler(1IP) and Carnagio (3IP) combined for the win in pool play.

Sunday, July 4th: Channahon 4th of July 12U Tournament Championship Game
Whiteford 12U All-Stars 14, Channahon 11U All-Stars 4
Tight game early with Whiteford jumping to 4-0 lead and eventually a 7-0 lead after 4 innings. Channahon rallied in top of 5th inning with 4 runs to make it a 7-4 game. Whiteford responded with 6 hits in the bottom of 5th inning and took advantage of 5 Channahon errors in the inning to put the game out of reach. At the plate, Jonny Butler, Matt Brozovich, Johnny Carnagio, Nick Airola, Hunter Nelson, Brandon Brodzinski and Drew Turek had hits. On the mound, Derek Malone (3IP); Jonny Butler (1IP) and Johnny Carnagio (1IP). Whiteford was paced by Bunetta with 3 hits. Ornelas and Young had 2 hits while Tesch, Purcell, Baker, Wilczewski, Marconi and Christopher added hits. On the mound for Whiteford was Tesch (4IP) and Marconi (1IP).

Sunday, July 4th: Channahon 4th of July 12U Tournament Semi-Finals
Channahon 11U All-Stars 15, Crest Hill 12U 1
Channahon bounced back from 2 hard-fought losses in pool play with an impressive 17 hit attack. At the plate, Nick Airola led the offensive barrage with 3 hits and 3RBIs. Jackson Shepherd, Jonny Butler, Johnny Carnagio, Matt Brozovich had run scoring multiple hits. Drew Turek singled to go along with 3RBIs. Jake Bugajski, Derek Malone, Brandon Brodzinski, Hunter Nelson and John Wheaton singled. On the mound, Johnny Carnagio (3IP); Jackson Shepherd (1IP) and Jonny Butler (1IP) combined on a 4 hitter for the semifinal win.

Saturday, July 3rd: Channahon 4th of July 12U Tournament
Whiteford 12U 5, Channahon 11U All-Stars 3
Both teams displayed stellar pitching and excellent defense. Channahon jumped to an early 3-0 lead behind a bases-loaded double by Matt Brozovich. In the bottom of 6th inning Whiteford rallied to take the lead and held on for the win. Channahon was paced by Jackson Shepherd, Nick Airola and Matt Brozovich with 2 hits. Derek Malone and Jonny Butler added hits. On the mound for Channahon, Jackson Shepherd (3IP;3H;2ER;2Ks) and Jonny Butler (3IP;5H;1K;3ER). Whiteford 12U was paced by Wilczewski with 2 hits. Cox, Pirc, Tesch, Ornecas and Bonetta added hits. On the mound, Pirc (2IP); Bonetta (2IP) and McCool (3IP).

Thursday, July 1st: Channahon 4th of July 12U Tournament
Crest Hill 12U 4, Channahon 11 All-Stars 3
Well played game by both teams that featured excellent pitching and defense. Crest Hill scratched across 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to tie the game 3-3. After 2 walks to start the bottom of the ninth inning R. Carter drove in the game winning run. For Channahon, Danny Beaudin doubled and scored a run while Drew Turek and Jake Bugajski singled. On the mound for Channahon was Derek Malone (4IP); Johnny Carnagio (4IP) and John Wheaton (1IP). On the mound for Crest Hill was Nick Vella (4IP); Matt Taller (3IP) and Tayler (2 2/3IP).

Tuesday, June 29th: Channahon 4th of July 12U Tournament
Channahon 11 All-Stars 16, Troy Titans 12U White 2
Channahon banged out 15 hits in 5 innings. Nick Airola led the attack 3-3 (triple; 2 singles;RBI). Matt Brozovich (2-3; 2RBIs), Johnny Carnagio (2-3; 2RBIs), Brandon Brodzinski (2-3; 2RBIs), Danny Beaudin (2-3;RBI). Jackson Shepherd, Drew Turek, Hunter Nelson and Jake Bugajski added RBI singles and socred 2 runs. On the mound, Jackson Shepherd (3IP) and Nick Airola (2IP) combined for the win.
