Thursday, July 30th: Troy 4th of July Tournament
Channahon 9U 12, Plainfield 8
This was a good game with Plainfield leading 4-2 after two. Then the Channahon bats came alive with 13 hits in the last 4 innings. Plainfield mounted a comeback in the 5th, but fell short. Tim Barys (3-3, single, double, triple) led the effort at the plate for Channahon. Adding two hits each were Andrew Mysliwiec (2-2), Matt Sitar (2-4), and Jared Bisbee (2-4). Also hitting for the 9 s were Blake Beckwith (3B), Zach Hise, Mack Tyrell, Collin Shields, Carson Heglund, and Brandon Keyster. On the mound for Channahon were Barys (3K), Keyster (2K), Hise (1K), and Nate Drancik.

The Channahon 9 s came out strong, keeping the Titans scoreless after 5 innings. Leading at the plate for Channahon were Tim Barys (2-3, two doubles), Jared Butts (2-3), and Mack Tyrell (2-3). Also adding hits were Matt Sitar and Zach Hise (double). Pitching the shutout for Channahon were Barys (4K), Nate Drancik (2K), and Brandon Keyster (3K).
