In the championship game Channahon came out swinging and scored 7 in the top of the first. All batters in the line up reached base leading the way at the plate with two hits each Austin Markee, Kole Vaught, Dylan Peterson, Ethan Petric, Matt Holmes, Julian Fernandez & Brian Krippel. After three innings of scoreless baseball Channahon opened it up with 6 runs in the 4th. Leading the team at the plate with 2 hits each Dylan Peterson, Ethan Petric, Matt Holmes & Brooke Brodzinski. Well Channahon is back at it after a couple days of rain. In this now "single emlimination" tourney the bats were hot. Leading the way at the plate with 3 hits Ethan Petric, also adding 2 hits each Fernando Rizo, Nick Lappin & Brian Krippel. Great game!
Sunday, July 18th: Pony 9U Sanction Touranment @ Troy
Channahon 11, Coal City 8
In the first game of the Championship round Channahon had to win game one to force a game two. Channahon jumped out with 8 runs in the first inning sending 11 batters to the plate. Leading the way with 3 hits Austin Markee. Adding 2 hits each Kole Vaught, Matt Holmes, Shane O'Brien and Brennan Geers. Great team effort now on to the final Championship game!!

Wow what a great day everyone dug deep in the heat and a combined effort gave the Channahon 9U the Championship!! Kole Vaught led the way going 3for3. Adding two hits Dylan Peterson & Ethan Petric. Also adding hits Austin Markee, Nick Lappin, Matt Holmes, Shane O'Brien & Brooke Brodzinski. Pitching a great game Ethan Petric & Julian (the closer) Fernandez. I would like to thank our fans everyone chipped in to keep the kids cool and brought a ton of drinks they are the best fans around. Congrats to the team.
Saturday, July 17th: Pony 9U Sanction Touranment @ Troy
Coal City 14, Channahon 9
Channahon played game two of Sanction and came up short. Leading the way at the plate going 3for3 Austin Markee & Shane O'Brien. Also adding two hits Brian Krippel.
Channahon 16, Troy 15
Channahon bounced back in the second game of a very hot day. Getting 3 hits each Dylan Peterson, Ethan Petric & Kole Vaught. It was a complete team effort at the plate but the key hit came in the game winner tied 15-15 with two outs and bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth Dylan Peterson rocked a shot to the wall for the victory. Championship game was exciting and wet. Channahon jumped out with two in the first and three more in the second. In this final four game, Channahon played the best defensive game of the year. Leading at the plate with two hits each were Austin Markee, Nick Lappin & Fernando Rizo. Pitching a combined NO HITTER Ethan Petric, Dylan Peterson & Julian Fernandez. Great plays in the field all around but key plays in the outfield by Brennan Geers, Dylan Peterson & Kole Vaught. Well the rain held off and Channahon came out swinging. Scoring 6 in the first with some key two out hits by Shane O'Brien and Matt Holmes. The whole team hit the ball tonight in a combined effort. Pitching a great game were Ethan Petric & Brian Krippel.

Championship Game!! Channahon came out of the box running and never stopped. Scoring 4 runs in the first, 4 more in the second and 6 additional in the third. The bats were led by Austin Markee, Dylan Peterson & Ethan Petric with two hits each. Also adding hits were Fernando Rizo, Nick Lappin, Shane O'Brien, Julian Fernandez and Matt Holmes. Leading the way at the plate for Channahon with 2 hits were Ethan Petric, Matt Holmes, Julian Fernandez & Kole Vaught. Adding hits were Nick Lappin, Dylan Peterson and Shane O'Brien with a bomb to the wall. Great defense all around and way to start the tourney. Good luck tomorrow night against Cresthill.
