Highlights

Wednesday, June 23rd and Thursday, June 24th: Championship Game
Holsinger & Meents 7, Ace Builders 3
This was a great championship game with the 2 top seeded teams batteling it out. With the game tied 1-1 in the top of the second, storms rolled in and stopped play. When play resummed the next day, both teams were hitting the ball well, it was the defenses that kept this game close. H&M played its best defensive game of the year; making 10 outs in the field and having only 1 error. Ace also had good defense making 6 plays in the field. In the 3rd inning with bases loaded it was H&M's offense that took over when Gage Pace drove the ball into the gap with a 3 run triple giving his team the lead. At the plate, Gage Pace led the team going 2-2(single, triple) followed by Shane O'Brien 2-2(single,double). Dawson Nelson, Johnny Slattery, and Mike Grabowski all added key hits. On the mound, Ethan Petric allowed only 1 run on 1 hit over 3 innings facing only 10 batters. Gage Pace allowed 2 runs on 1 hit over 2 innings, and Shane O'Brien closed out the game.
