Sunday, June 22nd: 10-year-old Travel

Channahon 3
Channahon ended it's season with their first loss to a good Palos team. Channahon had ten hits (Fitzgerald 2, Sandal 2, Parzych 2, Roberts 2, Kenyon and McAsey 1 each) and stranded nine. Palos had Nine hits (Dederichs 2, Van, Hansen, McMahon, Farkas, Ryan, Carmody and Wiest) and stranded five. Channahon Pitchers of Kenyon 2, Fitzgerald, Butler and Akers allowed 7 runs on 9 hits and had 9 strikeouts and 4 walks. Palos pitchers of McMahon 2, Miranda 2 and Hansen 2 allowed 3 runs on 10 hits and had 3 strikeouts and 7 walks. Channahon ended up with a record of 5 wins and 1 loss in the Chicagoland Sunday 10AA Part Time Travel League.

Channahon had 5 runs on 10 hits and allowed no hits against them in their 5-0 win. Pitching the no hitter were Larry Roberts, Jeremy Kenyon, Tyler Fitzgerald, Zach Akers, Eddie Sandal and Joe Butler. Leading the hitting attacked were Eddie Sandal 2-3 w/Double- Triple, Jeremy Kenyon 2-3, Blake Parzych 1-2, Joe Butler 1-2, Danny Devine 1-1, Larry Roberts 1-1, Nico White 1-2 and Jon McAsey 1-2. Piching for Palos were Preusser, Peltz, Peters and Mundo.

For Channahon, Brent Beckwith led the way going 2-2 (2 singles; 3RBIs); Derek Malone 2-3 (triple, single); Jackson Shepherd 1-3 (double; RBI); Drew Turek 1-1 (single; 2RBIs); Johnny Carnagio 1-3 (single; RBI); Nick Airola 1-2 (single; RBI); and Brandon Brodzinski 1-2 (single). Channahon pitchers combined on a 1-hitter. On the mound was Johnny Carnagio, Danny Beaudin, Derek Malone, Johnny Butler and John Wheaton.

Sunday, June 8th: 9-year-old Travel

New Lenox Rebels 1
Channahon rolled early behind a 15 hit attack. Leading the way was Johnny Carnagio 3-3 (double, 2 singles, 2RBIs); Derek Malone 2-2 (2 singles; 3RBIs); Jackson Shepherd 2-3 (double, single; 3RBIs); Danny Beaudin 2-2 (2 singles, 2RBIs); Hunter Nelson 2-2 (triple, single, RBI); Matt Brozovich 1-3 (single; RBI), Drew Turek 1-2 (single; RBI) while Nick Airola and Jack Sullivan added hits. On the mound for Channahon, Jackson Shepherd and Danny Beaudin combined to throw a 2 hitter in 4 innings of play. For New Lenox, Malmfeldt and Wieher doubled. Pitching for New Lenox was Michalak, Malmfeldt, Gervase and Kujawa.

Channahon's Jeremy Kenyon (3 innings- 5K's- Winning Pitcher) and Zach Akers (1 inning- 2K's) pitched a no hitter in a 12-0, 4 inning decision. Joe Butler led the offense with 3 hits, Jeremy Kenyon Blake Parzych, Zach Akers (Double) and Larry Roberts (Double) each added 2 hits with Tyler Fitzgerald, Nico White and Jon McAsey each having 1 hit.

Brandon Brodzinski snagged a sharply hit ball on the mound and started a sharp 1-6-3 double play that sparked Channahon who broke loose a close game in the bottom half of the 4th inning with a 10-run outburst. Leading the 12 hit attack was Matt Brozovich 3-3 (2 singles, double, 3RBIs); Johnny Butler, Derek Malone, Jackson Shepherd, Danny Beaudin, John Wheaton, Jake Bugajski, Brandon Brodzinski, Hunter Nelson and Brent Beckwith had run-producing base hits. Channahon pitchers combined on a 2-hitter. On the mound Derek Malone, Danny Beaudin, Johnny Butler and Brandon Brodzinski.

Saturday, May 31st: 9-year-old Travel

Wilmington 9U 6
Great night for baseball. This was a close game in the early innings before Channahon broke loose with a 9-run 4th inning. Leading the 15 hit attack was Matt Brozovich 3-4 (2 doubles, single, 3RBIs); Nick Airola 3-4 (2 singles; double; 4RBIs); Danny Beaudin 2-3 (double, single, 4 RBIs); Jackson Shepherd 2-4 (2 singles, 2RBIs); John Wheaton 2-3 (double, single, 3RBIs); Derek Malone (double), Johnny Butler, Jake Bugajski, Brandon Brodzinski, Drew Turek (double) added key hits. Channahon pitchers combined on a 5-hitter. On the mound Derek Malone, Danny Beaudin, Matt Brozovich, Johnny Butler, John Wheaton and Jackson Shepherd. For Wilmington, Steve Smock went 3-3 (2 singles, triple). Luke Mann tripled and Dillon Tjelle added a nice hit. On the mound for Wilmington was Dillon Tjelle, Robert VanDuyne, and Steve Smock.

Sunday, May 25th: 9-year-old Travel: Joey Kledzik Memorial Day

In a game featuring evenly matched teams it was poor defense by Channahon that opened the door to victory for the Region Redbirds. For Channahon, Jackson Shepherd 1-3 (single; 3RBIs); Johnny Butler, Matt Brozovich, Johnny Carnagio, John Wheaton, Brandon Brodzinski, Drew Turek, Jake Bugajski, Hunter Nelson added hits. On the mound for Channahon was Johnny Carnagio, Johnny Butler and Jackson Shepherd.

Saturday, May 24th: 9-year-old Travel: Joey Kledzik Memorial Day

Channahon bounced back by pounding out 15 hits. Johnny Butler provided the top highlight with his 3-Run BLAST over the right-center field wall. Matt Brozovich 3-3 (single,double,triple, 2RBIs); Johnny Carnagio 2-3 (single,double, 3RBIs); Danny Beaudin 2-3 (double, single, 2RBIs); Nick Airola 2-3 (2 singles); Jackson Shepherd 1-2 (single; 2RBIs); John Wheaton, Drew Turek, Hunter Nelson (double), and Brent Beckwith added hits. On the mound for Channahon was Jackson Shepherd, Johnny Butler, Danny Beaudin and Brandon Brodzinski.

Friday, May 23rd: 9-year-old Travel: Joey Kledzik Memorial Day
St. Joes 10, Channahon 8
This was a hard fought game throughout. For St. Joe's, Tony Talarico made a spectacular diving catch in left to keep the game close. St. Joe's 11 hit attack was led by Nick Nemanich and Dylan Loftis with 2 hits. Alex Tibble, Luke DeBenedetti, Collin Gibson, Jack Naal, Brad Roberts, Tony Talarico and Matt Goetschel added hits. On the mound for St. Joe's was Dylan Loftis, Collin Gibson and Alex Tibble. Channahon's 13 hit attack was led by John Wheaton 2-2 (double, single); Johnny Butler 2-3 (double, single); Jackson Shepherd 2-3 (2 singles; 2RBIs), while Brent Beckwith tripled and Hunter Nelson doubled. Derek Malone, Johnny Carnagio, Brandon Brodzinksi, Drew Turek, and Jake Bugajski added base hits. Pitching for Channahon was Carnagio, Butler and Malone.

Sunday, May 18th: 10-year-old Travel

Homer Fire American 1
Channahon's Offense was on fire and scored 24 runs on 24 hits to end this game early. Leading the way was Tyler Fitzgerald 4-5, Larry Roberts 4-5 (Double), Jeremy Kenyon 3-4 (Double), Zach Akers 3-4 (Double) and Zach Troutman 3-4 (Double). Also Joe Butler 2-4 (Triple), Blake Parzych 2-4, Patrick Rumsey 2-3 and Jon McAsey 1-3 had hits for Channahon. Pitchers were Zach Akers (2)-Winning Pitcher, Larry Roberts (1) and Joe Butler(1). Homer had 1 run on 4 hits, hitters were Wenzel, Wolfe, Kruczek and Pahios.

Sunday, May 18th: 9-year-old Travel

Elmwood Park 2
Leading the 11 hit attack was Johnny Carnagio 2-2 (single, triple, 2RBIs); Matt Brozovich 2-3 (2 singles, 2RBIs); Derek Malone 2-3 (double, single, RBI). Johnny Butler, Jackson Shepherd, Danny Beaudin, Brandon Brodzinski (double; RBI) and Jack Sullivan added hits. Channahon pitchers combined on a 2-hitter. On the mound Johnny Carnagio, Johnny Butler, Brandon Brodzinski, Danny Beaudin, Derek Malone and Jackson Shepherd.

Channahon 10, Elmwood Park 6
Elmwood Park jumped out to a 6-1 lead early in the game but Channahon chipped away to tie the game in the 5th and send the game to extra innings. In the top half of the extra inning, Jackson Shepherd tripled home the go-ahead run as Channahon scored 4 runs in the top of the 7th inning to secure the win in game 2 of a doubleheader. Leading the 12 hit attack was Johnny Carnagio 2-3 (2 doubles; 2 RBIs); Matt Brozovich 2-3 (2 singles; 2RBIs); Derek Malone 2-3 (double, single, RBI); Nick Airola 2-3 (2 singles). Johnny Butler, Jackson Shepherd and Brandon Brodzinski added key hits. On the mound for Channahon was John Wheaton (2); Matt Brozovich (2); Johnny Butler (1); Brandon Brodzinski (1) and Derek Malone (1) who got the win.

Sunday, May 4th: 10-year-old Travel

Frankfort Square 5
After jumping out to a 5 run lead Channahon saw Frankfort Square chip away and tie the game with 2 runs in the top of the fifth. Channahon never gave in and scored in the bottom of the sixth for a close win. Pitching for Channahon were Larry Roberts (2), Jeremy Kenyon (2), Tyler Fitzgerald, and Joe Butler who got the win. Leading the way with their bats were Eddie Sandal (2-3, Double) and Jeremy Kenyon (2-3 w/2 RBI's) and Joe Butler(1-1 w/2 RBI's). Also with hits were Tyler Fitzgerald, Blake Parzych, Danny Devine(1 RBI), Nico White (1 RBI) and Zach Troutman.

Sunday, May 4th: 9-year-old Travel

Coal City 1
What a great day for baseball and Channahon bats came to play knocking out 19 hits. Johnny Butler (double; 2 singles), Jackson Shepherd (3 singles) and Nick Airola (3 singles) led the attack with three hits; Derek Malone (double;single), Matt Brozovich (Over the fence Grand-Slam); Danny Beaudin (2 doubles) and Jack Sullivan (triple; single) added two hits. Also adding hits for Channahon were Brandon Brodzinski and John Wheaton. On the mound Johnny Carnagio, Johnny Butler, Brandon Brodzinski, Danny Beaudin, Derek Malone and Jackson Shepherd combined to allow 1 run on 6 hits. For Coal City - Rogers, Holmes, Hakey, Baldwin, Pierce and Grabowski had hits. Pitching for Coal City was Brnca, Pierce and Hakey.

Saturday, April 27th: 10-year-old Travel

Channahon pitchers pitched a perfect game (no hits, runs or walks) and their bats pounded out 11 hits in the 5 inning win. Pitching for Channahon were Jeremy Kenyon (2), Tyler Fitzgerald, Zach Akers and Joe Butler. Channahon bats were led by Zach Akers (triple, single), Blake Parzych (triple, single) and Tyler Fitzgerald (2 singles). Also having hits in the win were Eddie Sandal (triple), Joe Butler, Danny Devine, Larry Roberts and Nico White.

Friday, April 25th: 9-year-old Travel

Orland Park 4
In tough weather conditions Channahon pounded out 14 hits. The offensive attack was led by Johnny Butler 3-3, Jackson Shepherd 2-2; Johnny Carnagio 2-3, and Matt Brozovich 2-3. Derek Malone, Danny Beaudin, Nick Airola, Brandon Brodzinksi and John Wheaton added hits. Defensively Channahon made several stellar plays in the field and turned two double plays to end Orland Park innings. Channahon pitchers allowed 5 hits. Carnagio, Butler, Malone, and Beaudin pitched the win.

Sunday, April 20th: 10-year-old Travel

What a great day for baseball and Channahon bats came to play knocking out 15 hits. Blake Parzych led the attack with three hits, Jeremy Kenyon, Danny Devine, Patrick Rumsey and Jon McAsey each added two hits. Also adding hits for Channahon were Tyler Fitzgerald, Eddie Sandal, Joe Butler and Nico White. Channahon Pitchers allowed only 5 runs on 9 hits. Joe Butler, Eddie Sandal, Jeremy Kenyon, Tyler Fitzgerald, Larry Roberts and Zach Akers pitched the win for Channahon.

Sunday, April 20th: 9-year-old Travel
Channahon 14, Coal City 1
Channahon pounded out 16 hits. Led by Matt Brozovich with triple, 2 singles and Jackson Shepherd with 2 doubles, single. Derek Malone, Johnny Butler had 2 hits each while Johnny Carnagio, Danny Beaudin, Nick Airola, Brandon Brodzinski, Hunter Nelson, Brent Beckwith had hits. Shepherd, Butler, Malone, Beaudin, Brodzinski and Carnagio pitched the win. For Coal City, Holmes had a hit. Rogers, Pierce and Holmes pitched.
