Channahon 15, Olympia Terrace 4
The 10U travel team's bats stayed HOT Sunday with a 15-4 victory over visiting Olympia Terrace. With Channahon leading 5-4 going into the bottom of the 4th the team scored 7 runs on 6 hits to take a 12-4 lead. When the dust settled the team had finished the game with 23 hits! Going 4-4 were Zurawski and Schieffer, Gessner 3-4, Nelson 3-3, Crowder and Peacock 2-3. On the mound was Zawacki, Zurawski, and Gessner. Every player contributed to this win. Great Job!!
Sunday, May 23rd
Channahnon 10, Archer Manner 1
After a few tough losses the 10U travel team broke out their bats on a Hot Sunday afternoon in Chicago. Playing Archer Manner the team fell behind 1-0 after the 1st inning. But in the 3rd the teams bats warmed up and pounded out 6 hits to take the lead 6-1. With good solid fielding they held the opposing team scoreless and finished the game off with a solid 6th inning with 5 hits and added 4 runs to close out the game at 10-1. The team over all finished with 16 hits! Great Job!!
Sunday, April 18th
Channahon 16, Troy 11
The Channahon 10U Travel team came out swinging and started the season with an exciting 16-11 win at Troy. The team battled back from a 4-1 deficit with timely hitting and 5 runs in the 5th inning all after 2 were out. Supported by strong fielding, on the mound for Channahon were Thomas Schieffer, Zach Gessner, and Daniel Crowder. Next Game: 4/25/10 at home against Coal City.
